Drawing a day 1 - Clock

There’s little use trying to give this piece a meaningful title. I drew this in particular because my state of mind is pretty chaotic right now. I’ve been worrying about so many different things all relating to time and it’s been giving me not only creative block but a massive physical headache too. I’m hoping that having a creative outlet for 30-60 minutes every single day will relax me a little and help me reach my creative goals.
Yesterday I watched a Tedx Talk with Illustrator David Litchfield as the speaker. It inspired me.
I’m currently having a mental battle of experience vs education in my head, this video helped experience win.
I want to gain the artistic skills and experience that will hopefully put me on track to becoming a storyboard artist or conceptual artist for film.
If you too are at a point in your life where you’ve suddenly realised you are ridiculously passionate about art, and this passion has been set aside for too long.. Watch the video.
I am going to do as Mr Litchfield did and draw something every day (today I took his advice on drawing right after waking up in the morning, I have to say having no pressure for other daily chores meant the creative flow was much better than usual). I don’t know what i’m going to do once i’ve completed a years worth of drawings. But i’m positive it will make learning new techniques feel much more organic than sitting myself down to an hour long lecture.
